Wind down the weekend with this slow flow class at 2pm as part of the final day of the Camberwell Arts Festival 2020.
All proceeds will go towards BLAM UK, Black Learning Achievement & Mental Health, a charity currently working with primary & secondary schools across London & beyond to offer free lessons teaching global black history & culture. They're encouraging schools to address how racial prejudice affects their organisation whilst also aiming to improve the wellbeing of children who are negatively affected by it.
During lockdown BLAM has provided free worksheets to children aged 6 to 16 on topics such as the Black Tudors, Great Zimbabwe & the Black Georgians, as well as running a bite-sized podcast to accompany them. Please head over to their website to read more, or check out their recent GoFundMe page which provides ongoing to support to their work.
The Zoom link for this class can be found here and donations for the class can be made either straight to the GoFundMe page or to the usual payment for my classes here (with a BLAM reference).
